Investor Meetings Held in Hong Kong, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney
Meetings Held This Week and Next Lead Up to the AGM in Sydney on 15 November
Perth, Australia and Greer, South Carolina- 9th November 2017- Alexium International Group Limited(“Alexium,” “the Company,”) ASX: AJX, NASDAQ Designation: AXXIY, announces that CEO Dr. Dirk Van Hyning and CFO Aaron Krech are undertaking a series of investor meetings in Hong Kong, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney this week and next leading up to the AGM in Sydney on 15th November.
The meetings have been arranged with Petra Capital and Moelis Australia and will highlight the trends of increasing margins, increasing gross profits and cost reductions from economies of scale on raw materials as well as our ability to rapidly scale production with our toll manufacturers. The significant benefits to Alexium of the recent US Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission ban on toxic compounds in fire retardants will also be highlighted given the size of the growing FR market and the tailwind from these bans for Alexium to secure a much larger market share for Alexium’s environmentally friendly FR product series. The FR market is currently estimated to be US$9 Billion and forecasted to grow at 6% p.a. Alexium has completed FR trials with some customers in different sectors in the past but who were waiting on industry regulation before acting to change their FR to an environmentally friendly FR. This CPSC ban will now drive business to Alexium as the legislation rolls out.
In addition, the growing demand in the PCM sector will be highlighted along with the depth of Alexium’s products in both FR and PCM. Market penetration specialists have been appointed to assist Alexium to identify additional market sectors, partners and uses for our PCM products in the US$0.9 billion PCM market which is forecasted to grow at 24% p.a. The presentation also highlights an outlook for 2018 including the military sector and advances outside of textiles where Alexium is in late stages of product validation and scale-up with customers in both resins and nonwoven materials.
