AlexiShield is a water-resistant flame-retardant solution for providing enhanced flame resistance in mattresses. This product was designed to provide an FR option for mattresses that is free of glass fibers, organohalogens, organophosphorus, and nanoparticle-based materials. Alexium offers this as a chemical finish to textile/foams as well as finished textile components. AlexiShield can be applied via a wide range of strategies including:

• Pad/spray application to cotton- or rayon-based FR socks or barriers
• FR coating directly onto foam
• FR coated nonwoven fabric for mattress borders or foundations
