Alexium Presents at International Conference for AATCC

During this week’s AATCC’s International Conference, Global Products Manager Jonas Larue presented “Phase Change Materials in Textiles: An Evaluation of Quantitative Methods.” Larue’s speech took place during a day-long session called “Technologies to Achieve Comfort.” The AATCC is a professional organization which meets the needs of those in the ever-changing textile and materials industries. It provides test method development, quality control materials, education and professional networking for a global audience.

Larue is the founding chair of the organization’s newest committee, officially called AATCC RA112. In November 2017, AATCC members voted to form the new research committee. Its scope is “to develop test methods for quantitative assessment of thermal regulation properties of textiles,” according to Laure. He says the group will be of value to “anyone who is interested in being able to quantify thermal management solutions.” It will address both fiber and chemical technologies.

The first meeting of RA112 will be in April as part of the AATCC Spring Committee Meetings. Larue and RA112 will meet along with more than 30 test method and technology committees covering the entire textile industry. Administrative committees and interest groups also meet to discuss future conferences, awards, student activities, and more. For more information or to join AATCC RA112, please  visit
